Board » Technical Support » Server lost

I lost the SOL-Server around 0000 GMT 2009-11-20 for about 30 min (tested from several pcs and 2 locations). The same failure showed up at 2009-11-18 at about 1800 GMT.
A common problem or only here (Germany) ?
Greetings I also experienced this "Unable to Connect to Server" anomaly yesterday. Not sure if others who stayed in the program were affected or not. I signed off for a meal and after about 1.5 hours could not raise even the homepage to SOL. I am in the US (Michigan) so this was not just in Europe. I wondered if this was a symptom of a DNS snafu of some sort & if this was the case it would be helpful to know the numerical designation for the SOL server in case of a future repeat of this type of episode.
None so blind
I just downloaded the Sailonline client and I constantly get an error saying "Lost connection with the server, could not update boats". I can play the game with the online client but not the one on my computer, is there something I can do or just wait?

That is an old client which is not used anymore. Throw it away and browse here http://www.sailonline.org/windy/run/187/#
