Until the french solo, Leg 2. I was in 5th, and now I can`t find my boat on the ranking. Why ???

Half of the boats on the newbie ranking are not a SYC member.

If you are referring to the newbie ranking at http://www.stenum.se/sailonline/, the rankings you'll find on those pages are maintained by a Sailonline member and enthusiast and somewhat independently from Sailonline, hence "unofficial". If you have any questions about those rankings, you'll find an e-mail address there.

Hi all!
just noted that I am disappeared from the ranking because I need to renew the membership (I will do as soon I will be at home again!!!!)
This bring me to consider that is not really pleasant for someone that want to try SOL and then eventually subscribe....
In the past there was an unofficial ranking too. Could we implement again to keep the interest of the newbie high?
We can mantain the rank for SOL member only, but I think that anyone that has spent days and night SOLing should be awarded and go into "some kind of" ranking. May be even the general but limited to 10 over 15 race for the "non-member" instead of 10 over 30 for the member.

Here it is my take:

Everyone who spent days and night SOLing should pay and become a member. Until them, no ranking. IMHO, the non-paying sailors should get only a small number of free races to try.

Sorry man, good things in life are not free.

From Napier, the fleet sets off on a 354 nautical mile run back to Auckland, completing the full circumnavigation where the journey began. Dyer Dhow Derby 2026


Most winter weekends, SOLer wsguerin and his friends at the Mamaroneck Frostbite Association venture forth on Long Island Sound to race Dyer Dhows, originally designed as WWII tenders. Indestructible little boats, great comradeship and serious short sharp races of 10 to 20 minutes duration. Sailonline now invites you to experience the joys of the Dhow in winter, virtually, by way of a slightly longer 14nm race: from Mamaroneck to Execution Rocks, over to the Gong Buoy and back to Mamaroneck. And if the wind pipes up to 20kn and beyond, you'll find SOL's customized polar will plane, rather than nosedive!

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
