Bonsoir !

A bientôt !
Hi!
I'm a member of the Forum Des Marins Virtuels and the first to discover Sailonline and to make some proselytism.
We are really very pleased by the simulation (except the colors - lol).

There are two requests of the members:
1- we would like to make the "Solitaire du Figaro" on Sailonline. Have you a plan about that race?
2- some of us tested the principle of "routage competition" on Virtual Regatta. The players have a few days for putting a predefined number of waypoints on the map. And that's all. Then you calculate who finishes first. That sort of competition is much much less time consuming. Some members were very pleased by that concept.

Hello, Kalle !
Thanks for your answer. I was thinking carefully before speaking... then Marc writed faster than me! But I am totally agree with him.

Je te laisse la parole, Marco !
Thanks for the great suggestions. We will definitely keep them in mind. Solitaire du Figaro sounds like great fun, email jakob@sailport.se and he'll respond with a race template which helps us setting up the races.
Thank you, Sir !
We will do it and then we will have to find details about the course.
"See" you later.
If you clear your browser cache and log in to any of the races, you can now choose a french chatroom. The client does not remember the chatroom settings yet, but I don't think that should be too much of an annoyance.
What a good idéa ! And it works !
Congratulations, Sir Kalle.

The Vineyard Race 2025

For the first time since first hosting a virtual Vineyard in cooperation with Long Island's Stamford Yacht Club back in 2010, due to an operational calendaring error, Sailonline has missed the start of the real life race, the USA’s Labor Day weekend this year unusually falling across the turn of August. Silly SOL! So, a week late please join us anyway for a virtual rerun of Stamford’s iconic annual overnighter from their club line out the sound to Buzzard's Bay Light near Martha's Vineyard Island and back again, leaving Block Island to starboard. This year, Sailonline is making its magic MC 38 available to competitors, a race boat with a quirky polar that will require you to stay wide awake as you speed around the c 250 nm course, in rockstar style!

We’re setting sail on the next stage of the RWW Series: a 4,400-nautical-mile passage from Great Nicobar to Marion Island. This demanding leg will test endurance, strategy, and seamanship at the highest level.
