2020-04-27 17:30:33 - AGL v. 4_0_0 problem
Friends, over the weekend I installed the new version of AGL. Kind of sorry I did. I'm getting some weird errors and exceptions when I try to run it, and when I try to go back to the previous version.

--The new version is generating an error "Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform", but this is a 64 bit Windows machine

Result: program runs, but won't load DCs.

--The older version is also generating several exceptions:
Exception in thread "Thread-2" java.lang.NullPointerException
at autoPilot.serverTime.run(serverTime.java:506)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Exception in thread "Thread-10" java.lang.NullPointerException
at autoPilot.boatData.run(boatData.java:103)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Result: this version will load the DCs but won't run NMEA. I kind of need both parts to work!

Help?

I solved the 3_0_3 problem by reinstalling everything. But the 4_0_0 problem remains. Any one else face this 64 bit / 32 bit issue?

I suspect you are running 32 bit Java Runtime. I'll put a doc up in the release area on how to check for 64 bit, and also attached

Mad Max by Balloon 2026 - Across the Outback

Mad Max Rockatansky doesn’t get to go in a balloon in any of the Legends of the Wasteland, and the Wasteland is not necessarily the Outback of Australia, but Mel Gibson and film director George Miller indubitably are… of Australia, and ballooning as reconnaissance is a main feature of the Mad Max spin-off video game, so here goes: 1500nm in a balloon from somewhere on the edge of the Outback, Goondiwindi, to cross a finish line at Fitzroy Crossing, somewhere on the edge of the Outback!
