I have recently started using a VPN and I have noticed that when I am using my VPN and goto a race, the map opens up but gets stuck "Waiting for weather to download".

If I disconnect from the VPN and refresh the browser page, everything works as normal.

Is this behaviour to be expected?

uhm..no. A VPN tunnel should just change your 'first' step into the great wide open internets. Is it a commercial service, or did you make your own?

When you go to your VPN, go to the home page and check if you are still logged in.
That is same result you will get if you are not logged in.

Having crossed, re-crossed and re-re-crossed the Convergence Zones of the Pacific and the Atlantic, we now face our second crossing of the Convergence Zone of the World’s third great equator-spanning sea, the Indian Ocean, taking us from the channel between Masirah Island and the Oman mainland to the Chagos Archipelago. This year, we command the magnificent Falkun—the ultimate high-tech superyacht modeled after the iconic Maltese Falcon. This 1759nm slalom takes us through the Caribbean’s rum islands to plunder barrels from local distilleries and deliver them to the rum-parched sands of Cancun.
