Just one more good sim to have a look.

Looks to have potential - will be interesting to see how it works once it is released.
I've played a bit with the beta a while back. The controls were hard to use (or get used to), which obstructed the sailing. I like the concept of being able to control more than just a rudder and sheet, but their attempt to make adjusting the settings as realistic as possible is very ambitious (i.e. you need to move around in the cockpit to the correct line, then use mouse and keyboard to turn winches, open/close jammers etc.), but in the old beta version I tried, this was more frustrating than realistic. It's already hard to singlehandedly sail a (larger) yacht IRL, let alone trying to do it with your hands tied to the keyboard and mouse.

But I played an early beta. Who knows, usability might have improved enough to be able to focus on sailing rather than messing with the controls.

I also have been playing in beta a while and I had the same feeling as you kroppyer. The controls was not good as I imagined. But in my opinion it was not ready to go.I believe it was developing something more faithful (I hope). Moving around the cockpit was a bad too in terms of facility (mouse and keyboard control). The map to get a position was still not well defined (zoom in and zoom out I means).

" usability might have improved enough to be able to focus on sailing rather than messing with the controls " ... that what I´m expecting too.

The point we can have a crew and sail in the same boat which each one can have control of something is really nice and other things like real weather around the world.

Let see what will come, but at least it is looking come something really nice as simulator. I´ve got early access. I´m really wainting for.
