Hi All
I am at a bit of a loss to understand why PR is not showing as finished on the Timed race as as far as I can see I have rounded the last mark and although I made a real hash of it after that I am certain it should have rounded and therefore I don't need to unwind myself in the way you do if you go the wrong side of a mark. Can you enlighten me as I cannot work it out!!! (I was in meetings hence the awful mess I made after the mark!!!) Many thanks BR Tim (Pocket Rocket)
The best clue is the DTG listed at 10.44 nm which is how far it is from your current position to the North Head mark & back to the Finish line. Somehow on one of your beachings near that location you "un-rounded" that mark, perhaps because your next jump on land went past but your boat was held at the last Valid position.

Please Confirm the message displayed by North Head as either Rounded or Leave to Starboard ?

None so blind
The server thought that you had not rounded the last mark (it should have said "leave to starboard" in the client when you tried to finish). I manually updated your rounding, you should be able to finish within half an hour (as soon as the finish line says "cross line to finish"). If you have a need to finish earlier because you want to start a new run, mail us at admin@.

As to why this happened, bbq'ing at the same time as unrounding the mark could very well have caused this. I would need to check the code. If this is indeed the case, we can fix it so that this never happens again.
The Second beaching is the culprit as it occurs just where the Bearing to Mark Azimuth lies.

HI all
That's great and many thanks for the update...I wondered if it was maybe I was very close on the many returns backwards and forwards to the rounding line.....what a mess I made ....impromptu and SOL don't mix. Thanks so much for your help and I am just running back to the line now. Fingers crossed it finishes. I let you know if there is a prob. Thanks again for such a quick update. PR

Christmas to Christmas Island 2025

Two waypoints, start and finish, and between them 5827 NM of two oceans. Not much time if we want to sit at the Christmas Eve table. You will need to maintain an average speed of over 10 knots, maybe quite possible with this Maxi Trimaran, but prepare your vessel well and choose the best of the many possible routes. Hands up everyone who knew there were TWO Christmas Islands?! OK, maybe you have sailed this Sailonline course before... but it's time to get ready for the 2025 challenge of racing between Christmas Island in the Pacific to Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean! It also marks the conclusion of our prestigious Ocean Race Championship 2025. Please have fun! Fair winds!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
