Commentary

Another one of the nearly triangular courses, this one presented challenges of its own kind, with plenty of islands scattered around the start/finish corner, two small islands at the first rounded corner and open water at the second rounded corner (which won't lead to a BBQ but can be missed nonetheless) - lots of ways for an attempt to be ruined! Add to the fact that the triangular shape means that the race-winning winds can potentially come from many more directions, and you've got yourself a race that requires meticulous planning!
The 16 day window saw a total of 250 successfully completed runs from 97 skippers, which can be viewed here. Although there were many opportunities to set times of 7 hours, finding the ideal wind shift that could improve significantly on that was comparatively scarce; in fact, only two windows saw times below 6h 25min being set. A start time of around 9am UTC on 18 Feb appeared to be more popular, with the best times from that window coming in around 6h 23min. However, it was the other window, starting around midnight UTC on 19 Feb, which saw the winning times of around 6h 16min being set by calmxy, rafa and Never_Again_11. Well done!
