Sailonline.org is delighted to be able to partner with the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron to bring the virtual Brisbane to Hamilton Island Yacht Race to virtual yacht racing navigation enthusiasts around the world.

Race start time: Friday 4th August 2023 at 1100 AEST (0100 UTC)

The Brisbane to Hamilton Island Yacht Race on Sailonline will start at the same time as the real race allowing virtual sailors to sail against the actual boats in the race and using the GFS weather forecast from NOAA to simulate real-time race weather conditions.

While our polar for a virtual 100ft maxi is based on BlackJack 100 when she was known as Alpha Romeo, we hope to be competitive against Andoo Comanche, the only maxi entered in the real-life race this year.

The virtual Brisbane to Hamilton Island Yacht Race on Sailonline.org is now open for practice. Participation is free and everyone is invited to come and join in so that they will gain the most fun when the real race starts.

Roslagen TIMED Sea Race

Welcome to quite possibly the most challenging TIMED race of the year. This month finds us in Sweden with lots of islands and narrow passages when we sail our Seacart 30 trimaran over the 86nm from Lidingö outside Stockholm to the beautiful coastal village of Öregrund. Consider yourself a winner if you complete the course nonstop! This is a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. The Adventure Continues – Leg #6 of the RWW Series.
We’re setting sail on the next stage of the RWW Series: a 4,400-nautical-mile passage from Great Nicobar to Marion Island. This demanding leg will test endurance, strategy, and seamanship at the highest level. As part of the 2025 Ocean Championship, this marks the ninth legendary challenge in the series — and one of the most exhilarating yet.
