RESULTS

This was a good summer race and the three SOLers who took the podium spots managed to get the best out of the relatively light winds available. On paper it looked simple, just one mark and a run to the finishline. But it wasn't easy to get the podium places - look at the times - just one second splits 2nd from 3rd - it was fun to watch. Some of us are still out on course and wondering how it is top SOLers always work their wind-reading magic! Good job guys!
RACE INFO:This July The German Offshore Owners Association is running a private Regatta in the Baltic, called the HANSE RACE. The HANSE RACE consists of a series of races starting from Karlskrona, Sweden and then racing via the harbours of Västervik and Visby and finishing in Klaipeda.
Sailonline is delighted to be invited to partner the real racers in their leg from Visby to Klaipeda and anticipates showing the racers on-screen!

Aeolian Challenge 2013
The Aeolian Islands are a UNESCO Heritage site located off the coast of Sicily in the Mediterranean. For SOLers they provide a race course (288nm in Super Maxi 100s), for vulcanologists an endless supply of new data.

Magnus Olsson was one of the best-known and most liked of all ocean racers and tributes to him say it all. In memory of this remarkable sailor, SOLers have decided to race his mythical Quingdao-Rio leg of the 2008 Volvo Ocean Race. It will be 12519nm on VO70v4s!
